Autumn Owen and Hayley Kropp each homered and were among four Polk County players with at least three hits Tuesday in leading the Wolverines to a 15-1 win over Mountain Heritage in Burnsville.
The large margin helped improve Polk County to 4-0 overall, 2-0 in Western Highlands Conference play.
Owen and Ashley Kropp each finished 4-for-5 to lead the Wolverines’ attack. Hayley Kropp and Maranda Gosnell each were 3-for-5.

Ashley Scruggs earned the win, pitching six innings and allowing three hits while striking out four. Haley Fowler pitched a scoreless seventh inning.
Polk County returns home Wednesday to face Smoky Mountain, with varsity play beginning at 5 p.m.
