Six Polk County softball players have been named to the Times-News All-Area softball team, with rising junior pitcher Ashley Scruggs earning the paper’s pitcher of the year award.
Scruggs, also named the all-district 2A pitcher of the year, finished 21-4 this season with 122 strikeouts.
In addition to Scruggs, the following Polk County players were honored with All-Area selection:
