Reception planned to honor retiring Polk County athletic director Wilson

A reception to honor retiring Polk County athletic director Jeff Wilson will be held June 25 at Polk County High School.

The reception will be held from 4-7 p.m. in the school gymnasium. Refreshments will be served.

All former coaches and players, as well as the general public, are invited to attend the event.

Wilson announced earlier this year that he would be retiring after serving 13 years as the school’s athletic director and almost 30 years as a teacher and coach with Polk County Schools. He hopes to continue as head coach of the Wolverines’ softball program, a position in which he has won more than 350 games.
