Game times have been set for Saturday’s second-round 2A state playoff games involving Polk County.
The Wolverine softball squad will host Brevard at 3 p.m. The Blue Devils (19-4) enter as the 18th seed in the 2A West bracket but have been considered one of the top teams in Western North Carolina throughout this season.
The Wolverine girls soccer squad will host West Stokes at 7 p.m. The Wildcats (18-5-2) are the defending state 2A champions, though much of last year’s lineup graduated.
