Jones earns player of the week honor

Polk County senior third baseman Brittany Jones has been named the PolkSports.com/Bradley Screen Printing player of the week for April 28-May 2.

Jones went 5-for-8 in the Wolverines’ wins over Mountain Heritage and Owen, doubling and scoring twice in the win over the Cougars.

She also had several key defensive plays in the victories, which allowed Polk County to finish in a tie for second place in the Western Highlands Conference.
