A trio of Polk County High School softball players have been selected to represent Region VIII in the State Games of North Carolina tournament this month in Charlotte.
Ashley Kropp, Hayley Kropp and Alexis McCraw are part of the 15-player team that will play for Chase head coach Daniel Bailey in the event. The tourney is scheduled for June 16-18 at UNC Charlotte and Hopewell High School.
The tournament is a four-game, round-robin competition that will be held before the start of medal play.
