McComas snares fourth in debut for Polk Bass Team

Minda McComas made quite the debut for the Polk County High School Bass Team.

The freshman angler finished fourth out of 35 teams at the BASS NC High School & Junior Series Mountain Division Fall Qualifier on Nov. 1 at Fontana Lake, reeling in 9.81 pounds in her first tournament.

McComas’ father, Robbie McComas, served as her boat captain for the event.
