Polk bass fishers cast for success at Lake Keowee tourney

Polk County’s bass fishing teams competed in Saturday’s Palmetto Boat Center High School Tournament Trail event at Lake Keowee.

Wyatt Highsmith and Konner Huskey finished 23rd in the 128-team field with five fish weighing 10.80 pounds. Dakota Casturo placed 80th with four fish weighing 4.35 pounds.

Byrnes’ Lohgan Gosnell and Easton Peeler won the tournament with five fish weighing 18.10 pounds, including a big fish of 4.89 pounds. York County High School Anglers’ Beau Winn and Zach Davis finished second with 15.68 pounds, followed by Chapman’s Elijah Wylie and Gibson Huntley with 15.30 pounds.
