Polk Bass teams test talents at Lake Lanier

Two Polk County Bass Fishing teams competed in the Palmetto Boat Center High School Tournament Trail event Saturday at Lake Lanier.

Wyatt Highsmith and Konner Huskey finished 52nd with two fish weighing 5.31 pounds, while Dakota Casturo placed 63rd with one fish weighing 3.73 pounds in the 128-team field.

Elijah Wylie and Gibson Huntley of Chapman won the tournament with five fish weighing 21.24 pounds, including a big fish of 4.34 pounds.

Polk County has two tournaments remaining on the schedule at Lake Keowee and Clarks Hill.
