Hayley Kropp scored 20 points and Janada Carson added 12 as Polk County opened its season Monday with a rout, rolling past East Henderson 55-23 in a non-conference game played at East.
Polk County (1-0) built a 16-6 lead at the end of the first period, then extended that margin to 29-12 at the half. A 17-2 third period put the game out of reach.
Polk County had 27 steals in the game, with Kropp recording eight.

Lyric Flood added 10 points for the Wolverines, who also got 12 rebounds from Sarah Phipps and eight from Ashley Love.
