East Henderson nearly held Polk County scoreless in the second period Monday en route to a 49-20 victory in junior varsity boys basketball play in Flat Rock.
The Wolverines (0-5) were shut out in the second quarter until 7.5 seconds remained before halftime. East Henderson (3-3) broke open a 7-7 game by outscoring Polk County 42-13 over the final three quarters.
Scoring details were not available for Polk County.

The Wolverines return home Tuesday to face Brevard in their final non-conference game before the start of Western Highlands Conference play on Friday.
