Matt Jarrett delivered a stellar offensive performance, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and three runs scored. Oakley Whiteside added a 2-for-3 day with three runs scored, while Jonathan Painter contributed a 2-for-4 effort with an RBI.

Polk County wasted no time establishing control, taking a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Painter singled home Meyer. The Wolverines extended their advantage with four runs in the second, highlighted by Will Jarrett’s RBI single and bases-loaded walks to Matt Jarrett and Simms Harris.

The offensive barrage continued in the third and fourth innings as the Wolverines capitalized on North Henderson miscues and continued their disciplined approach at the plate. The seven-run fourth inning featured key hits from Matt Jarrett and Whiteside, along with walks from Meyer and Will Jarrett.

Aaden Denton handled pitching duties for Polk County, going the distance with four innings of work. He scattered eight hits while striking out seven Knights batters.

The Wolverines will look to build on this momentum when they host Brevard on Friday in a Mountain Foothills 7 Conference contest.
