Alm a first-team pick for HighSchoolOT’s All-State squad

Recent Polk County graduate Gunnar Alm has added one final honor to his list of achievements as a Wolverine.

Alm earned first-team All-State selection from HighSchoolOT.com. It marks the third straight year that Alm received All-State mention from the media outlet that covers high school athletics across North Carolina. It was also his second straight season as a first-time selection.

Only five players on the team appeared for the third time.

Alm was the only Western North Carolina player to receive first-team selection in the all-classification list. Christ School’s Henry Tutera, Asheville’s Tretn Maybin, Pisgah’s Zack Wester and Hayesville’s Jackson Sellars earned second-team recognition while Reynolds’ Duncan Carver was named to the third team
