Wolverines sweep past Madison for conference volleyball win

Polk County continued its winning volleyball ways on Tuesday, sweeping Madison 3-0 in a Western Highlands Conference match at Polk.

The Wolverines won 25-11, 25-10, 25-10 to improve to 10-4 overall, 6-1 in conference play. Madison dropped to 2-11, 2-5.

Kara Overholt had five kills, 27 assists, 16 digs and five aces for Polk. Kendall Hall had 20 digs and three aces, with Lily Owens having 10 kills and nine digs and Sarah Phipps adding nine kills and seven digs.

The Wolverines host undefeated West Henderson in a non-conference showdown on Wednesday, with varsity play slated to begin at 5:30 p.m.
