Polk County tuned up for Wednesday’s showdown with Hendersonville with a straight-set win Monday over Asheville Christian Academy in a non-conference match at Polk.
The Wolverines (16-5) took a 25-13, 25-19, 25-20 win over ACA on Senior Night as the program recognized its two seniors, Sarah Phipps and Kara Overholt.
Phipps sat out the game with an injury, while Overholt had 29 assists and nine digs. Lily Owens had nine kills, three blocks, eight digs and two aces for Polk County, which also got five kills from Addie Lynch, six kills from Ashley Love, 15 digs from Cameron Capozzi and 14 digs and two aces from Kendall Hall.

Hendersonville will visit Polk County on Wednesday in a match that will decide the Western Highlands Conference regular-season championship. The Bearcats currently have a one-game lead in the WHC standings over Polk, with the match being the final conference game of the season for both schools.
