Polk County freshman Kendall Hall has received national recognition, selected as a 2014 Frosh 59 Special Mention player by PrepVolleyball.com.
Launched in 2003, PrepVolleyball.com annually recognizes 59 top freshmen volleyball players around the country as part of its Frosh 59. In addition, it selects 200 more players for its Highest Honorable Mention, Special Mention and Honorable Mention categories. The Web site only considers freshmen who start for their high school teams and are considered among the top players in the area.
Hall had a stellar debut season for Polk County, helping the Wolverines share the Western Highlands Conference championship and reach the third round of the state 2A playoffs. She finished fourth nationally among freshmen with 618 digs, according to MaxPreps.com, and sixth among all players in North Carolina, including leading all 2A teams in the state. The 5-7 libero also had 23 aces en route to earning all-WHC honors.
