Wolverines fall to Blue Devils in regular-season finale

Mountain Foothills 7 Conference regular-season champion Brevard swept a determined Polk County team on Thursday, nipping the Wolverines in the season finale for both squads.

The Blue Devils earned a 25-16, 25-23, 25-23 victory, ending their season with a 14-5 record, including 11-1 in MF7 play. Polk County finishes 10-12, 6-6.

Sophia Overholt had seven kills and eight digs for the Wolverines, with Morgan Yoder and Ada Kelley each recording five kills.

Ella Waldman finished with 11 digs, with Amberlyn Scruggs posting 12 assists and seven digs.

Polk County will begin play in the MF7 postseason tourmanent on Monday, traveling to R-S Central for a 5 p.m. match.
