Polk volleyball sweeps past T.C. Roberson

Polk County earned Tuesday its second consecutive win, downing T.C. Roberson in straight sets in non-conference volleyball action.

The visiting Wolverines captured a 25-17, 25-15, 25-19 win, improving to 2-2 on the season. T.C. Roberson did record a 25-18, 25-22 win in junior varsity play.

“We played awesome,” said Polk County head coach Molly Corhn. “There was so much energy from the whole team. They all played excellent and I’m so proud.”

Kara Overholt had 38 assists and 13 digs for Polk County, with Kendall Hall notching 38 digs. Lily Owens had 12 kills and 10 digs, with Sarah Phipps adding 13 kills and eight digs. Savannah Ross had seven digs.

Polk County begins its Western Highlands Conference schedule on Thursday, traveling to face Madison.
