Polk sweeps Avery for sixth straight volleyball victory

Polk County volleyball continued its winning ways on Tuesday, sweeping past Avery in three sets in a Western Highlands Conference match at Polk.

The Wolverines (6-2, 3-0)  earned a 25-6, 25-11, 25-13 win, their sixth straight victory. Avery dropped to 3-4, 1-2 with the loss.

Kara Overholt had 29 assists, four kills, four digs and seven aces for Polk County. The Wolverines also got nine kills and 11 digs from Sarah Phipps, six kills and nine digs from Lily Owens, six kills from Ashley Love and 19 digs from Kendall Hall.

Polk County is back in action on Wednesday, traveling to Brevard for a non-conference match.
