Brevard rallied from a 2-1 deficit to down Polk County 3-2 in non-conference volleyball action Wednesday in Brevard, snapping the Wolverines’ six-match winning streak.
Polk County (6-3) won the first set 25-16, dropped a narrow 26-24 decision in the second and won the third set 25-11.
But Brevard, the last team to defeat Polk County, rebounded for a 25-17 win in the fourth set, then earned a 15-11 win in the fifth to close out the match.

Lily Owens had 25 digs and 15 kills for Polk County, which also got 17 kills and 15 digs from Sarah Phipps. Ashley Love had seven kills. Kendall Hall had 57 digs while Kara Overholt produced six kills, 48 assists and 22 digs.
Polk County hits the road again Thursday, journeying to Kings Mountain for another non-conference match. Polk is then back home on Monday, hosting the WNC Trailblazers.
