The WHC girls soccer race finished in a three-way tie between Hendersonville, Polk County and Owen, the Wolverines forcing that tie with their 1-0 win over Hendersonville on Monday. The three teams each split their season series with the others, forcing a drawing for seeding purposes.
Hendersonville won the draw and will be the league’s top seed, with Polk County second and Owen third. The Wolverines are also expected to have a home game in the opening round, though that won’t be official until the North Carolina High School Athletic Association releases pairings next week.
Both squads close their regular seasons Thursday night with non-conference games.
