Polk County Middle continued its high-scoring ways Tuesday with a decisive 27-7 victory over Hendersonville Middle in a game shortened to just three innings.
The visiting Wolverines (5-1) wasted no time establishing their dominance, scoring 10 runs in the opening frame before adding six more in the second inning. After Hendersonville (0-6) responded with seven runs in its half of the second, Polk County put the game away with an 11-run outburst in the third.

The Wolverines capitalized on Hendersonville’s pitching struggles throughout the contest, as Bearcat hurlers issued 19 walks and hit six batters. This lack of control created numerous scoring opportunities that Polk County efficiently converted into runs.
Several other Wolverines made significant contributions to the offensive explosion, including Minda McComas (1-for-1, four runs, two RBI), Aubrey Champion (four runs, two RBI despite not recording an official at-bat), and Tilly Harris (three runs, two RBIs).
The Wolverines will look to maintain their momentum when they travel to Flat Rock Middle on Thursday for their next contest.
