West Davidson won both the regular season and Central Carolina Conference postseason tournament.

The Polk County girls soccer squad received the sixth seed in the 2A West and is slated to face Lincolnton (8-10-2) in the first round on Wednesday at  7 p.m. in Wolverine Stadium. If Polk County wins, they would then host West Stokes or East Rutherford in the second round on Saturday.

The Polk County softball squad earned the No. 2 seed in the 2A West and is slated to host South Stokes (9-13) in the opening round on Wednesday at 5 p.m. If the Wolverines win, they would then host either West Stokes or Brevard. Though 18-4, the Blue Devils finished as the 2A runner-up in the extremely tough Western North Carolina Athletic Conference and thus earned the 18th seed in the West. Polk County could also potentially face WNCAC 2A top seed Franklin in the third round.

As the No. 2 seed, Polk County is guaranteed of hosting at least four games if the Wolverines continue to advance.
