Madison Middle scored seven runs in each of the first two innings and invoked the run rule with a 15-0 victory over Polk County Middle in Monday’s Blue Ridge Conference softball opener in Marshall.
The Lady Patriots collected 13 hits while holding the Wolverines without a baserunner in the three-inning contest.
Polk County Middle (0-1) hosts Waynesville Middle on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
