Madison wrapped up a perfect Western Highlands Conference record on Tuesday with a 14-1 win over Polk County in softball action in Marshall.

The Patriots closed their season with a 20-1 record, including a 15-0 mark in conference play. Polk County dropped to 10-7, 9-4. The Wolverines travel Wednesday to Mountain Heritage for a doubleheader to close their regular season.

Polk scored its lone run in the third inning as Anna Hodge singled with one out, followed by a two-out single by Emily Prince and an RBI single from Anna McFadden.

Prince, McFadden, Alana Jergenson, Jessie Emory and Hodge accounted for the Wolverines’ five hits.
