Polk County freshman Junie Mitchell had three hits in Thursday's loss

Chase took advantage of early Polk County defensive miscues and went on to claim a 13-3 win Thursday in softball action at Polk.

The Trojans upped their record to 3-1, 2-0 in Mountain Foothills 7 Conference play. Polk County fell to 3-4, 0-2.
