Polk Bass Team set to compete in Palmetto Boat Center Classic

The Polk Bass Team qualified for the Palmetto Boat Center Classic and will compete in the two-day event beginning Friday at Lake Lanier in Georgia.

The Classic is the final event of the 2021-2022 Palmetto Boat Center High School Tournament Trail. Winners of the event will receive a $10,000 scholarship to any school of their preference.

Teams qualified for the event by either winning a tournament during the regular season or placing among the top 80 teams in the PBC point standings. Polk County earned its spot on both criteria, winning a tournament earlier this season and entering the Classic ranked 10th among high school teams.

Polk’s team includes the brother duo of Chan and Banks Barber.
