Polk County Bass Fishing grabbed 13th place Saturday in the latest stop on the Palmetto Bass Center High School Tournament Trail.

Competing at Lake Keoweek, the Wolverines’ duo of Chan Barber and Banks Barber caught five fish weighing a total of 8.13 pounds. That gave the duo the top-15 finish in a field that included some 80 teams.

Polk County’s Karsyn Huskey also competed in the event.

Byrnes’ team of Mitchell Robinson and Cody Abbott won the tournament with a total of 13.52 pounds for their five fish.

The Wolverines are scheduled to compete again Saturday in the Western North Carolina BASS High School and Junior Series stop at Lake Norman in Charlotte.
