Wolverines climb to fifth in state soccer rankings
Polk County is ranked fifth in this week’s North Carolina Soccer Coaches Association state 2A rankings.
The Wolverines (8-2) moved up one spot after a week in which they earned a 3-1 win over Hendersonville. Polk County remains in sole possession of first place in the Western Highlands Conference.
Carrboro continues to hold the top spot in the rankings. Franklin, at No. 10, is the only other Western North Carolina team in the poll.
