Polk girls soccer closes season with 4-1 win at Chapman

Polk County rolled past Chapman 4-1 Thursday in girls soccer action in Inman, bringing an end to the Wolverines’ regular season.

The Wolverines will head into the postseason with a 17-5-1 record. Polk County learned earlier Thursday that it would be the second seed from the Western Highlands Conference for the state 2A playoffs, which begin on Wednesday. Brackets for the playoffs are expected to be released sometime on Monday.

In junior varsity action, Jessica Bentley scored two goals and Lauren Stratman had an assist to lead Polk County to a 2-1 win.
