No. 8 Wolverines post third straight shutout in win at Mountain Heritage
Eighth-ranked Polk County got goals from seven different players Monday en route to a 7-0 rout of Mountain Heritage in Western Highlands Conference girls soccer action in Burnsville.
The Wolverines improved to 4-0 overall, 2-0 in WHC play with the win. The shutout by goalkeepers Kara Overholt and Malena Roman was the third straight for Polk County, which has now outscored opponents 15-1.
Scoring goals for Polk County were Rhian Alley, Caroline Lee, Emily Kocher, Elena Preston, Alyssa Climer, Hanna O’Brien and Ashley Love. Assisting goals were Climer, Miriam Santibanez and Love.
Polk County returns to Wolverine Stadium on Wednesday, hosting Mitchell in another WHC match.
