The Wolverines (16-3) dominated from the opening tip, with Bailey Staton and Amiyah Waters combining for 13 points during the game-opening surge. The Hilltoppers (7-12) briefly threatened in the second quarter, closing to within 10 points, but Honesty Jackson’s layup just before the halftime buzzer gave Polk County a 26-14 lead at the break.

The Wolverines steadily pulled away in the second half, outscoring R-S Central 18-8 in the third period.
Staton led Polk County with 29 points. Waters added 18 points and nine rebounds, Sofie Abrahamsen scored seven with four rebounds, and Reeve Carroll and Jackson each finished with two. Carroll contributed six rebounds and six assists.
