Smoky Mountain hands Polk a 5-1 setback in JV boys soccer

Luis Hernandez scored for the second straight game, but Polk County still dropped a 5-1 decision at Smoky Mountain in a junior varsity boys soccer match Wednesday in Sylva.

Hernandez also had the team’s lone goal in Monday’s loss to North Henderson.

Polk County opens its home schedule on Thursday, hosting West Henderson.
