Late tallies lift West Henderson past Polk County

1 min read

West Henderson scored a pair of late goals Wednesday to hand Polk County a 3-1 setback in a non-conference boys soccer match in Mills River.

The Falcons (2-1-1) grabbed an early lead, but Polk County (0-2) answered in the second half on a goal by Charlie Jackson.

But a pair of yellow cards left the Wolverines playing a man down, and the Falcons capitalized by scoring twice in the final 15 minutes.
