Jones scores four goals as Polk JVs roll to lopsided win

Evan Jones scored four goals Thursday to lead Polk County’s junior varsity to a 9-0 win over Crest in boys soccer action at G.M. Tennant Stadium.

The Wolverines (1-2-2) picked up their first win of the season with a dominant offensive performance, getting goals from six different players.

Also scoring for Polk were Jack Smith, Elliott Whiteside, Luke Becker, Brian Bautista and Alexis Chavez.

David Ramirez had three assists, with Carson Metcalf adding two and Whiteside, Daniel Savkovic and Becker each adding one.

Polk County is back in action Monday, traveling to East Rutherford.
