East Henderson spoiled Polk County’s season opener on Wednesday, taking a 3-1 victory in a junior varsity clash at E.L. Justus Field in East Flat Rock.

The Eagles built a 3-0 advantage before Polk scored with 4:51 remaining on David Alvarez’ 35-yard free kick.

Polk County will make its home debut on Monday, facing Madison in a 5 p.m. match. The game will also be shown live on NFHS Network.
