
Polk County senior goalkeeper Cade Bright has been named the Mountain Foothills 7 Conference Defensive Player of the Year.
Two other Wolverines – Charlie Jackson and Nate Martinez – received all-conference selection.
Bright anchored Polk County’s defense, recording 179 saves and allowing just 1.496 goals per game. He had 17 saves in the Wolverines’ 1-0 loss Monday at Thomas Jefferson in the third round of the state 1A playoffs.
Brevard’s Noah Backes was named the Offensive Player of the Year while Patton’s Keith Scott was chosen the Coach of the Year.
