PCHS soccer program celebrates season with year-end awards banquet

Polk County’s boys soccer program celebrated a successful season with a year-end awards banquet on Thursday at Tryon Presbyterian Church.

More than 100 players, families and friends attended the banquet. PCHS head coach George Alley expressed his thanks to the TPC cook team for making dinner for the group.

The Wolverine varsity finished 11-10-2 and reached the third round of the state 1A playoffs. Polk outscored its opponents 61-37, improving significantly on the 18-62 goal differential and 4-15 record in 2022.

Wolverine Award: Jasper Nespeca

Wolverine Award: Luke Miller
All Conference and All Region Awards: Cade Bright, Nate Martinez and Charlie Jackson
Conference Defensive Player of the Year: Cade Bright
