East Davidson is the 28th seed in the West and will bring an 8-10-2 record into Wednesday’s playoff opener. The Golden Eagles did win three of their final four matches.

If Polk County wins its opener, the Wolverines would likely host Shelby, the 12th seed despite a 15-3-1 record. The Golden Lions finished second in the South Mountain Athletic Conference behind undefeated Chase and were thus seeded with the second-place teams. Conference champions are seeded before all other teams. A similar situation occurred for Forbush, who are the 10th overall seed in the West despite a 20-2-2 record.
