Playoff basketball schedule: Time change for Polk girls, Polk boys postponed

With winter weather affecting much of North Carolina, Tuesday’s first round of the state 2A high school basketball playoffs could see a number of schedule changes.

The first of those affects the Polk County at Newton-Conover girls game. As of 8:40 a.m. Tuesday, that game has been rescheduled for 5:30 p.m., but will still be played. Athletic directors from both schools will make a final decision by 12:30 p.m.

The Polk County at West Wilkes game has been postponed and will be played Wednesday at 5 p.m.
