Polk County’s junior varsity basketball squad earned its second straight win Wednesday night, handing East Henderson a 27-20 setback at Polk County.
The Wolverines (3-4) defeated T.C. Roberson on Tuesday, 32-25, in Skyland. Haley Fowler scored 16 points to lead Polk County in that win.
In JV boys play on Wednesday, East Henderson eked out a 40-38 win, surviving a last-second flurry in which the Wolverines had a shot to tie the game.

Brett Phipps scored 10 points, with Wilson Edwards adding seven and Malik Miller scoring six.
Both teams return to action on Friday, traveling to Mountain Heritage.
