Hot-shooting Falcons drop Wolverines

1 min read

A sharpshooting West Henderson squad proved too much Monday for Polk County, rolling to a 74-55 win in a non-conference boys basketball matchup in Mills River.

The Falcons (11-7) built a 47-27 halftime margin, then expanded the lead to 69-33 entering the final quarter as Polk County (5-12) could never slow the Falcon offense.

“They came out hot and never really cooled off,” said Polk County head coach Josh McEntire. “In the first half we just missed too many easy shots around the basket.”
