East Henderson pulled away in the third quarter Monday to defeat Polk County 77-62 in non-conference boys basketball action in Flat Rock.
The Eagles (5-2) built a 24-15 lead after the first quarter and extended their advantage to 43-27 at halftime. East Henderson outscored the Wolverines 22-12 in the third quarter to take a 65-39 lead into the final period.
Khristian Littlejohn led Polk County (1-4) with 20 points. Aaron Jackson added 14, Khalil Austin and Ross Dow each scored 11, and Nate Fagan finished with six. Dow hit three 3-pointers.

Jaylin Brewer led East Henderson, which defeated Polk for the second time this season, with 20 points.
Polk County returns home Tuesday to face Brevard in its final non-conference game before the start of Western Highlands Conference play on Friday.
