
Polk golfers just miss school record, share win with Hendersonville
Polk County’s boys golf teams put together one of the best nine-hole scores in school history on Thursday while tying Hendersonville in a four-team match at Meadowbrook Golf Course.
The Wolverines posted a score of 153, just two shots off the school record for a nine-hole round, in matching Hendersonville.
Brevard finished with a 190 while East Henderson had a 209.
Polk County’s Evan Jones shared medalist honors with Hendersonville’s Jack Carr, each firing a 36. Carsom Emory had a 37 while Casey Beiler shot a 39 and Hunter Lynch notched a 41.
Also playing Thursday for Polk were Reilly Yoder (44), Ben Korzelius (54), Mason Luckadoo (58) and Brett Bagwell (64).
