Polk County finished sixth with a team score of 354 at the 3A West Regional boys golf tournament Tuesday at Deer Brook Golf Club in Shelby.
Pine Lake Prep won the regional title with a 318, followed by Hendersonville at 322. Both teams advance to the state tournament.
North Wilkes finished third at 326, Mount Airy fourth at 333 and East Rutherford fifth at 342.

West Wilkes’ Slater Meade earned medalist honors with a 70. Aden Spratt of East Rutherford finished second with a 72.
Tourin Jackson led Polk County with an 80, finishing 12th overall. Brody Wilkins shot an 81 to finish 16th. Piercen Edwards carded a 96 to place 43rd, and Tallis Metcalf finished 44th with a 97.
The top six individuals not on a qualifying team also advance to the state tournament.
