Polk golfers help spruce up Bright’s Creek
Members of Polk County’s boys golf team recently spent a day at Bright’s Creek, helping with maintenance tasks around the course.
Players worked on the practice range filling divots and worked on sand traps on the range as well, among other efforts.
The team held a similar workday last season at Tryon Country Club.
“We wanted to show our gratitude for letting us play at these courses for free,” said Polk County head coach Pat McCool. “We have a great group of high school golfers that are willing to give instead of receiving. They are willing to work instead of practicing.”
The Wolverines will begin play Tuesday in the Western Highlands Conference postseason tournament.
