Chapman edges Polk golfers in Village Greens match

Polk County’s golf team dropped an 18-shot decision Wednesday to Chapman in a head-to-head match held at Village Greens in Campobello.

The Wolverines posted a team score of 185 to Chapman’s 167. The Panthers also had the low individual of the day as Ethan Holcombe notched a 36.

Evan Jones led Polk County with a 40, with Carson Emory posting a 44 and Hunter Lynch a 49. Reilly Yoder rounded out the team scoring with a 52.

Brett Bagwell also carded a 60 for the Wolverines, who are slated to face Hendersonville on Thursday in a match moved to Meadowbrook Golf Course.
