Polk County’s junior varsity battled Mitchell to a 4-4 tie Friday in a Western Highlands Conference matchup at Polk County ended by time requirements.
The Wolverines tied the game in the sixth inning on Tyler Harris’ RBI double.
“A couple of errors hurt us. If we make those plays, we probably win 3-2,” said Polk County JV coach Josh Money.

Jared Wolfe went 3-for-4 to lead Polk, which also got two hits from Harris, Bailey Livesay and Zach Foy.
The Wolverines are back in action on Monday, hosting Mountain Heritage for a 4 p.m. game.
