Mountain Heritage JV rallies to top Polk baseballers

Polk County built a 4-2 lead, but Mountain Heritage rallied to take a 7-4 win over the Wolverines on Monday in junior varsity action at Polk County.

Zach Johnson and Wilson Edwards each went 2-for-3 to pace Polk County’s offense, with Andrew Merriotte providing a solid pitching effort, according to coach Josh Money.

Polk County is slated to return to action on Wednesday, hosting Landrum’s junior varsity at 6 p.m. The Wolverines then travel to Madison on Thursday for a JV-only matchup.
