Mazzilli enjoys great week for Wolverines at plate, in field

To say that Mark Mazzilli had a good week for Polk County’s baseball squad might be a bit of an understatement.

The Brevard College signee helped lead the Wolverines to two wins in three games last week, going 8-for-14 at the plate with a double, homer and five RBI.

Mazzilli also walked twice and stole four bases. From his center field position, he threw out a runner at third base in Polk County’s 6-3 win over Madison.

The Wolverines are back in action on Tuesday, traveling to Mountain Heritage for a key Western Highlands Conference game.
